Let me tell you I had a great one!
Let me count the ways:
1-I got to see LOTS of Family
2-I got to spend Ample amounts of time with the a fore mentioned Family
3-I gave some good gifts (this is my own opinion, you may want to ask the receivers whether or not this is true, but I was really excited to give the gifts, therefore they were good to me)
4-I did my part to help others in the spirit of Christmas (make of that what you will....I meant it to be vague)
5-I witnessed MANY Christmas Miracles (most of them are kinda silly, but they were Christmas Miracles just the same)
6-I spent the whole Christmas weekend in my PJ's
7- I made a killing in the gifts I received
So, yeah, I would say pretty successful.
Christmas Eve my family was invited over to Nate and Sarah's for a wonderful Christmas Eve Dinner and a showing of Elf. It was all Wonderful! Then back to the Parents, where we played the Traditional game of Hearts (the winner gets to open a present). Before bed I was lectured and told I was not allowed to wake up before 8:00 (like I have mentioned before I am a child, I always wake up as early as possible).
On Christmas morning I was woken up by my Grandma who came early so that we could open our present early (Thank You Grandma (she tricked me as she was one of the lecturee's). We got to open all the presents. I got a ton of really great stuff, here are a few of the big ones: A Movie Projector, DVD Player, Harry Potter the 6th, A Framed Picture of Jesus, a Cupcake cake pan, a Hawaiian Coconut Bag, some Turquoise Jewelry, and leopard print Pajama Pants. I made out pretty good.
Then we headed over to Nate and Sarah's to exchange presents and see what they got. Kaylee and Brenna got a new bed and a kitchen set. They woke up in their new bed, which really threw Kaylee. Nate sure got a surprise, they found out a while ago that they were having a baby. For Christmas Nate got a little outfit for a BOY! That is right Sarah is pregnant with a BOY!!!! He was really excited about it. Sarah was pretty sneaky, and I think it was an awesome way to find out. I got a spice rack from them. Which I REALLY needed. I also got some sweet Jewelry from Kaylee and Brenna.
After that we headed over to Aunt Kay and Uncle Bills to visit for a little bit. We got there just in time, because their whole family was there so we got to see everyone. I was very excited to see Marley (Chad and Melanie's little bundle of joy). I haven't seen her much and she is just adorable. Also I was glad to see Kelly cause I just read a book she recomended and I really wanted to talk to her about it.
After that we headed down South to Highland to hang out the rest of the day with my Aunt Christy and Co. It has become something of a tradition (which I love) to hang out with them on Christmas. We played lots of games (Questures, Clue, and Rock Band), and we got to talk to Jordan my cousin who is on a mission.
Ok so I mentioned before that I got Leopard Print PJ pants, well Sarah did too, so we were twinners. Well part of my gift to Kaylee and Brenna was a Leopard print outfit. So we all wore them and we all matched. It was so fun.
So, Naturally, here are the pictures:
Brenna and I
Sarah and Kaylee
The whole group even though Kaylee was being a buggar. Surprise! My Aunt Christy had some too! Aren't we all cute?
Here is Brenna cruising around. I just love the look on her face.
Kaylee in all her Leopard Print glory.
I am sorry I had to throw one more in. I just love Kaylee in this picture!
Sarah and Nate
Kaylee and Brenna being Dogs.
Then Kaylee wanted to take some picture so I thought I would let her have free reign to see what came out. Let me tell you that 4 year old has some serious skills! I think I am going to give her my camera more often. People will pose for her...people who will not pose for me (Its either cause they don't think it will work or cause she is just so darn cute). I got some great shots from her. These are just the honorable mentions.
Nate (a tough one)
Ryan (another tough one)
Moving on, the day after Christmas we hung out at the Parents. Nate and Sarah came over for some games and movies. We were going to go out to the movies, but everything we wanted to see was sold out, so we opted to stay in and use the new projector. I watched 'Up' with Kaylee (she is in the question phase, so I more answered all the questions than watched). Then we played some serious 'Harry Potter Clue', and watched 'Star Trek'.
Sunday was a lot of the same thing. Games, Games, and Games.
It was a great Christmas weekend! I had a lot of fun. I am also glad that this party is not over. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of Tierney. So the party will continue this weekend.
